Child-Centered Play Therapy in Kingston
Helping children heal through the language they know best—play.
When your child is struggling and can't tell you why, play therapy gives them a way to work through it without needing words.
I work with kids ages 3-12 who are dealing with anxiety, big emotions, behaviour changes, or difficult transitions. Sessions are child-led. I follow their pace.
You don’t need a diagnosis or a clear plan to start.
"Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning." — Fred Rogers

Meet Melanie
Melanie Huffman is a Registered Nurse Psychotherapist certified in Child-Centered Play Therapy. She works with children ages 3-12 and their caregivers to move from tension to connection.
She started her practice working with parents and children together, then specialized in play therapy when she saw how effectively kids communicate through play.
Melanie combines her healthcare background with specialized CCPT training to create a safe, supportive space where children can process emotions, build resilience, and heal at their own pace.
